40 years to ensure that every child progresses as smoothly as possible.
The Kumon curriculum consists of
Math and
Reading

Reading program
The Kumon Reading program has been continually refined and improved since
its launch so that every child progresses as smoothly as possible.
The Kumon Reading curriculum consists of six
learning blocks ranging from learning to sound out basic sounds to analysis
of Classical Literature. The program is broken down into very small steps,
each building on the skills mastered in previous ones.
Students only move on when they have demonstrated
that they are entirely comfortable with a topic. Thus, a 'just right level'
of study is maintained. Achievement Tests are conducted at the end of
each level to ensure mastery of the level.
